First Place is made by Leftway Labs Limited (“Leftway”, “we”). You sign in with your Leftway Account, which is covered by the Leftway Privacy Policy. This page covers what First Place adds on top. Read the two together.

The short version: we keep the map of your home and what you tell the guide about it, so the app can show it back to you. We don’t sell it, we don’t show ads, and you can delete it at any time.

What we collect

• The map of your home. When you scan a room, Apple’s RoomPlan turns it into a plain 3D model on your iPhone: walls, floors, doors, windows and furniture as boxes with sizes. We store that model, the names you give your home and rooms, when you scanned it, and your device model, iOS version and app version.
• A floor plan, if you add one. The image you upload, kept with that home.
• What you tell the guide. Your answers to its questions, such as what a room is for, what isn’t working and what you’d like it to become, plus an address if you type one in.
• Error reports. When something goes wrong in the app we record what failed, so we can fix it. They don’t include your home or your answers.

What we don’t collect

• Photos, video or camera frames. RoomPlan uses the camera on your iPhone and only the finished model leaves it.
• Your location. The only address we have is one you type.
• Contacts, payment details, or advertising identifiers.

How the guide works

The guide picks its next question from your answers so far. To do that, your answers and the guide’s questions are sent to an AI model, Anthropic’s Claude, through OpenRouter. They use them only to answer that request. We keep a log of each of these requests and replies with Datadog, our monitoring provider, so we can find and fix problems with the guide. If the model can’t be reached, the guide asks from a fixed list instead.

Where it lives and who sees it

• Your homes and answers are stored with Cloudflare, keyed to your Leftway Account. We don’t store your email address with them.
• Only you can read your homes, signed in as yourself. Leftway’s own team and tools don’t read them unless you ask us to, for example in a support request.
• We share nothing with anyone beyond the providers named here.

Deleting your data

We keep your homes until you delete them. To delete a home, swipe left on it in Homes, tap Delete, then Delete from iPhone and account. That removes the home, every version of it, its floor plan and what you told the guide about it, straight away. Deleting your Leftway Account deletes every home on it. To ask us to delete everything, email bill@leftway.ai.
